About the Project
The CONRIM initiative strengthens neonatal infection surveillance and response across the Busoga Kingdom of Uganda. These dashboards bring together clinical, environmental, and demographic data to guide policy and improve outcomes for newborns and their families.
Use the sections below to explore real-time statistics, maps of new birth reports, environmental risk factors, and historical data collected during the initial phases of the program.
Reporting & Core Dashboards
Enrollment & High-Level Demographics
Tracks the overall number of enrolled households, births, and basic demographics of participants in real time.
Open DashboardRelative Risk
Displays spatial estimates of neonatal infection risk across sub-regions of the Busoga Kingdom using current surveillance data.
Open Dashboard⚠️ May load slowly due to heavy geospatial calculations
New Form Births
Shows the locations and trends of births reported using the new standardized reporting forms introduced in 2025.
Open DashboardEnvironmental & Geographic Factors
Poverty (MPI) Map
Visualizes socioeconomic conditions across the Busoga region using the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI), supporting analyses of health outcomes alongside poverty gradients.
Open Dashboard2024 Population
Presents the 2024 population density estimates by parish to support understanding of birth incidence relative to population distribution.
Open DashboardVegetation
Highlights vegetation cover indices derived from satellite imagery, allowing comparison with neonatal outcomes.
Open DashboardElevation & Soil
Maps elevation, slope, and soil characteristics that may influence environmental exposure risks for neonatal infections.
Open DashboardHydrobasins
Displays hydrological basin boundaries and upstream–downstream structure, supporting analyses of water flow, flooding risk, and environmental exposure pathways relevant to neonatal health.
Open DashboardLand Cover
Provides classifications of land use and land cover across the region, such as wetlands, cropland, and urban areas.
Open DashboardEnvironmental Risk Factors (Household-Level)
Environmental Risk Factors (Historical)
Historical map of environmental and household risk factors combining data from both legacy and newly introduced reporting forms, enabling longitudinal comparisons across the Busoga region.
Open DashboardEnvironmental Risk Factors (Real-Time)
Real-time visualization of household-level environmental risk factors and traditional practices reported through the new standardized forms, supporting near–real-time surveillance and intervention targeting.
Open DashboardCord Care & Traditional Practices
Real-time map focused on umbilical cord care practices and related household behaviors reported in the community, highlighting modifiable risk factors for neonatal infection.
Open DashboardHistorical Data
Combined Forms Births
Historical visualization combining data from earlier birth reporting forms used before the 2025 standardized reporting system.
